Terms of Service for ReceiptRiser

1. Agreement to Terms

By creating an account and using the ReceiptRiser service ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ReceiptRiser ("we", "us").

2. Description of Service

ReceiptRiser is a digital service that allows users to upload images of their receipts, extracts the data from them, and organizes this data for personal expense tracking and management.

3. User Accounts

To use the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
  • Maintain the security of your password and accept all risks of unauthorized access to your account.
  • Promptly notify us if you discover or otherwise suspect any security breaches related to the Service.

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. User Content

You retain full ownership of the content you upload to the Service, including your receipt images and the data extracted from them ("User Content").

By uploading User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and process this content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service to you. This includes extracting data from your receipts and displaying it within your account.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to misuse the Service. For example, you must not:

  • Upload any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network or breach any security or authentication measures.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the access of any user, host, or network.
  • Use the Service for any purpose other than its intended use for personal expense tracking.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.

6. Our Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of ReceiptRiser and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of Spain and foreign countries.

7. Termination

You can stop using our Service and delete your account at any time through your account settings page. We may also suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, for any reason, including for a violation of these Terms.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. ReceiptRiser MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THE DATA EXTRACTED WILL BE 100% ACCURATE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ReceiptRiser, ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, OR EMPLOYEES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, THAT RESULT FROM THE USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THIS SERVICE.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes relating to these terms and conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Girona, Spain.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
